The Consulate General of Italy in Vancouver acts as a liaison office between the government of Italy and the Provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Yukon Territory in the political, economic and cultural domains, with particular focus on establishing or keeping relationships with the local Italian and Italian-Canadian communities.It also fosters commercial and cultural relations between Italy and Western Canada, collaborating with local institutions and organizations to encourage business exchanges; its cultural and education offices work towards promoting student exchanges and the knowledge of the Italian language and culture through the Consulate’s jurisdiction.
Hosted by the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Canada – West (ICCCW), The Authentic Italian Table at Italian Day will feature opportunities to experience authentic Italian food products, fine wines and liquors, and gastronomic delights created in collaboration with local chefs.
The event is mandated and supported by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development.
Vancouver is one of nine city stops including Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, New York, Toronto, Montreal and Mexico City.
Some of the vendors who will be featured at the Authentic Italian Table piazza located at the Grant Street intersection on Italian Day are: Campari, Bosa Foods, Bibo Pizzeria, Cioffi, Sciue`, De Denedetto Food Imports, Consorzio Prosciutto di Parma… and many others!!!
