The Italian Day Festival Society in collaboration with the Commercial Drive Business Society and the Italian Cultural Centre are excited to organize and present for the third consecutive year – Italian Day: a celebration of Italian heritage and culture. And what better location to honour this than ‘ The Drive’, historically known as Vancouver’s ‘Little Italy’.
Representing one of the city’s premier celebrations and drawing over 50,000 attendees since its return in 2010, Italian Day is an expression of all that is Italian: food, music, entertainment, dance, art, sport, community and spirit. As an added theme to this year’s festivities is Euro Cup 2012, which coincides with the Italian Day event. Undoubtedly, games and other attractions promise to keep the Drive alive with both Italian culture and soccer enthusiam!
Fun for the whole family and FREE – join us and embrace the Italian spirit for this year’s 2012 Italian Day celebration, where ‘La Dolce Vita’ meets the Euro Cup and so much more. Without question, it promises to be one of the biggest community events of the year!
